February was national heart month, so what better way to show heart health but through the humility of loving others above ourselves?
Humility can be defined as someone who spends his life taking care of othersβ needs above his own. This concept honestly sets my heart on fire, it gets me excited deep down to my core, it is the one thing that I truly thrive on. I can now say that today, this is one of my biggest purposes on this earth. It is why I was created, I believe. I have searched for so much of my life to find what I am truly passionate about, but I have discovered over the past few months of devoted time spent on development and self-discovery that I am made to love, made to support, made to encourage, made to lift others up.
In the past, I have not viewed this as a purpose, I have not valued what talents I have, only undermined my gifts and talents as nothing truly special. I have always belittled them thinking that they are less than enough.
But then I asked myself, "enough for what, enough for whom?" It is where I find myself gaining energy, increasing my momentum and my genuine happiness is found in this small, yet important purpose. It may not be your purpose, but it is mine, and this is what is so wonderful, this is what makes all of us so different. We are all built differently with different purposes, a wide array of passions, this is to create the perfect symphony that we call the world.
God has definitely given me a heart of humility, one that is constantly thinking of others and ways to make others feel special, wanted, needed and loved. I admit that this is odd, but this is my purpose, this is my love and my passion. And today I will own it.
We all need to find that one thing that we were made for, that one thing that gives us purpose in life. The thing that lights or hearts on fire! Without purpose, we find no driving force or meaning in our life. We all deserve to find our purpose, to find passion and to find love in something outside of ourselves. We are all different, we all have different needs, wants and passions, but we are also more alike than we all realize.
We are all in search of what we were put on this earth to do. I have been on this search for over 30 years of this life. To know your weaknesses and to live every day in appreciation and gratitude for the day, the hour, the minute and the moment that we are given can be hard, but is so important in this life. We must be grateful in all we say and do and above all we must show love to those around us.

We know that we are all fighting our own battles of life. Whatever your battles are today you can invest in the strengths that you have to find joy in giving to others in some small way wherever you are. Stop the comparison game, you are perfect just the way that you are, you have so much to offer the world, to your neighbor, to your family, your friends and even your co-workers.
We all are unique, with unique gifts and talents. There is only one of you and this world needs you with all of your strengths and purposes. This takes courage, but I believe that you are braver and stronger than you ever could imagine being!
So stop looking at everyone's perfect reals that come across the screen on a daily basis. Practice gratitude in a state of humility. Know that you are enough, you have enough and you are doing the best you can, where you are. You have so much to offer and so much to give, stop bottling it up, stop telling yourself the lies that you arenβt good enough, you donβt have what it takes, you are a failure.
In all the humility that I can muster up for you, I am here to let you know that you are one amazingly perfect person in everything that makes you... YOU! Donβt be something you are not, stop chasing after the pipe dreams of what you think you should be, stop believing all of the lies. Start living your life today in love, gratitude, and humility.

Very well stated, thank you! I needed to hear that, and I need to reread it many days in a row. π
Thank you so much, LeAnn, makes my heart smile that my words had an impact on you today! You are amazing, never forget that π
